aunt rose
I love it when MMM is sick. It is times like these that I really shine! I not only get to disinfect the house...yeah!!!, but I also get the opportunity to make homemade chicken noodle soup, put cold washclothes on his head, create a quiet atmosphere to allow MMM to sleep, take him Sprite to settle his tummy....... and.................. wear my killer new Bose headphones to drown out all the suffering cries, moans, groans, and complaining...it works like a charm. It is TRUELY a blessing that AUNT Rose doesn't visit him every month. I also try to be very thoughful and say things to comfort him (ya know, like things he said to me when I was having Sam). "Does it hurt sugar? It'll be over before ya know it! Now that's not so bad is it? Are you sure you want some pain meds?....you don't just want to hold out a little bit longer? And, You don't mind if I just run and rent a movie do you?" It's a shame that I don't have the same level of pain tolerance as MMM and most other men ;) Love ya tons and remember, we are happiest when we are serving!

the vanmobile
I love it when it's time to get a new car. This go around is xtra special for MMM and I. We are planning on adding to our family of 3 in the future so it's out with the convertible black BMW and in with the ............yep! Minivan!!! How great is that? I never thought that I would be lucky enough to 'trade up' as they say. I get so excited EVERYtime we go test drive one. We are hoping to find a nice vintage Astro van...do you remember those? They are hard to come by now so we may just end up with a spanking new one right off the lot! Now, I am not trying to create feelings of covetness, but rather trying to share my immense joy and excitement. It's all about the color...I'm thinking sky blue! For some reason MMM isn't as stoked about the color, but he'll get used to it. You see, I want my excitement to keep building so........I was thinking.....MMM can drive it until we have another baby and I'll drive his LandRover. It will all work out so nicely;) Good idea MMM, a minivan! Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

reconnecting with the past
So....I ToTally love it when I reconnect with old high school friends. It's the GREATest! I mean, take the other day for example. I agreed to meet up with an old friend at the local park with our kiddos in tow. It was great! From the minute she stepped out of her shiny car with her kids in Matching outfits and the DoG in a matching sweater and hair all done up I knew that it had definately been one of the best ideas EVER!!!! It was so GREAT to catch up and hear about the home that they ALMost bought ($750,000 with a slide in the play room...how cool is that???), but decided not too, how "Gifted" their children are, how incredibly smart her HuBby is, and how righteous they are....I almost did my happy dance right there at the pArk! I mean, it was FABULOSO! She told me all about the great state of NM and how she was sooooo glad that she no longer had to put up with all the 'blue collar' workers that they lived by, "because you know what I mean,....they, uhm.................loooong AWKWARD pause.......nothing, nothing, nothing...). I said oh, the blue collar workers like MMM (my main man) the teacher? Or maybe the ones who fix your car? build your house? install your TV stations (oh yeah, you don't watch TV, right! righteous, I forgot...my bad)? stock your grocery shelves? give you your maincures and pedicures? Yeah...it must have really been the pits! I am sure that they were SOOOOOO sad and upset to lose such a prominent accepting citizen as yourself.
My AbSOlute favorite though has got to be all the Social networks. We have this site for our graduating class. SO MUCH LOVE! My buddy big J recently joined and it was great to hear about his life on his swanky profile. I was SOOO EXCITED for him when I read that he "married his trophy wife the first time around so that he didn't have to upgrade later".....come on, really J???? J's got such a lucky wife. I mean, it's TOTally cool that she not only married a highly paid surgeon/dentist/you know, but an insightful, kind, and SUPER sweet guy! WHAT A TREAT!

british actress?
So I bit the bullet and went down to our local Gym (who's name I won't mention) and joined. I swore never to return to this particuLar gym, but my BFF had an extra pass and wanted me to workout with her...I know, I'm telling you, my BFF's are the GREATEST! Any who, after getting the 2 minute tour and not being able to get out of the child proofed day care...hey now, careful!! We were just leaving when this woman approached and, you'll Never GuEss what she said! She told me that my "face was very pretty and reminded her of, you know, that one British actress.... Ohhhh, long pause, come on she plays in.... you know, THAT movie.... the one with, you know, THAT guy in it.........oh, come on, I can't remember the movie....HER name....". I politely said thnx as we left. After I got ta thinkin about the weirdness that had just passed, I started to wonder which British actress...So, what da ya think?

gifted
Well, love you guys! I have news. We found out that our son is GiFTed. Now we don't like to use the word GiFTed, well, because, you know long pause - AWKWARD - we just don't exactly know how other parents will respond to it. He is reading way above others his age, he is THE StAr of his Sports TeaMS, everyOne wants to be his BFF, he is handsome as ALL GETouT, but being the humble people we are and knowing that sometimes others just can't handle that kind of truth, (we were just somehow lucky enough to be blessed with the ability to accept the differences among people who may or MAY NoT be like us) we like to say he's UnIQue. Everyone has their challenges, this just happens to NOT be one of ours. Thnx for totally letting me share our news..luv yer guts!! PS It's his - Sam's - B_DaY in a couple of weeks. He's turning 4!
blocking a spike
I LOVE it when I am running late for VollEYball and my sports bras are in the washer. Really, I mean, sigh what does a girl do? Grab the closest thing to a sports bra you have slap it on hoping it does the trick. I guess there's always duct tape or ace bandages, but come on, really, who does that kind of thing? I opted for a good old fashion bra. I got to my CO-ed game and told my BFF's the scoop. They were laughing and we decided at the least it would be a distraction for the other team. You know, kinda like our secret weapon!! How cool is that? I was actually a secret weapon. At one point in our game I jumped up to block a sPIkE and on my way down....yep, My right side got a little 'HuNg Up' on the net, if you know what I mean! Oops. One hazard I had not considered when playing vollEyBall without a Uni-bo_ _.

bless their hearts
Do you remember Y2K? Yeah, me too. Banks down, life stopping midnight panic, no food....NoT. Well I have this totally FAb neighbor who is into all things natural and Wunderful. Did you know????? That the pioneers - bless their hearts - used to get a case of DIE arrhea while walking those plains. What did they do you ask? Well after praying of course, they would take SunFlowers and use them to make a apecial anti-DIE arrhea tea and VoILa!! Problem solved. Why bring up Y2K you ask? Simply because if there ever is a food shOrtage - do you have your year supply -and I hAve to consume whatever is available, no medications for ailments...I for one wIll NOT be suffering from DIE arrhea.
BTW does anyone know what vitamin is abundant in pine needles? (hence the DIE arrhea talked about earlier)

joys of biking
I love getting out on my bike...mountain bike, road bike, pulling kids or...NoT, I love it. So when we - a BBF anD ME - headed out on what was assuradely going to be a SIMPLE bike ride to school you can only imagine what happened! I mean, 6 kiddos, bikes and a BFF who doesn't bike so muCh make 4 one gReat LaUGh. Who doesn't love bikes with chains that fall off every few blocks, geEAsy fingers, and NO complaining at all because of course the kids ALL LUUV it (uh-huh). In that short 1.5 mile ride, we had a flat tire, one child almost got hit showing us his 'trick' riding, it started to down pour, chains fell off, babies were crying, my BFF was soaked head to bum cheek (only one...we were wondering if that means maybe one is slightly bigger? Hmmm)let me tell you it was great! For some reason my BFF hasn't ridden to school with us since. She's really missing out on all the joys of biking wouldn't you say?

neighborhood love
Okay so my life is pretty great living here in this valley with lots of X-tremly hAppy people. Take our neighbors XHN - x-tremly happy neighbors. They smile all of the time. I think their cheeks would start to hurt after a while with all that smiling. I chalk it up to the simple fact that they must really love my little fam. One of the first things they did after we moved in was to put up a HUNORMOUS privacy fence. Wasn't that SuCh a nice thing to do? I know, i Know. Actually I don't know how we ended up gettin' so lucky. This summer when we were out of town and our garden flooded BIG time, GuEsS What???? .......Yep. You got it. When we got home they told us all about it. How the water was shooting up past the trees and they sat there watching it for us so we could be sure to know Xactly how long it flooded for. Lucky lucky, luuucky!! Otherwise, how would we have ever known why our garden died. Love those neighbors!
